Come as you are – Spring Yoga Newsletter
Burwood Community Yoga started 9 years ago as a small council funded yoga class. The aim was to give locals an experience of health & wellness using movement & breath work . The classes have grown significantly since then but the aim of self healing through yoga practise is still strong. Classes are held in a space of non judgement and acceptance. Burwood Community Yoga is dedicated to making yoga accessible & affordable to Every Body.
The Japanese style of yoga not only offers yoga techniques that are proven to elevate sedentary lifestyle complaints but class also includes seasonal lifestyle tips to keep you standing upright with ease through your day. Many new students find their aches, pains & stress levels seem to vanish. They discover they don’t need to just ‘put up’ with niggling issues anymore.
Yoga is an incredible healing modality, it’s a journey with ups & downs – resistance and flow. Many students will hear me say, ’the hardest part about yoga practise is getting to class, once you’re on your mat it’s easy’. You do not have to be flexible, skinnier, more [insert your excuse here] to start. Come as you are, start where you’re at.
BCYoga is also available to students who can’t afford to come regularly, it’s a community based practise with discounts for eligible students.
The new yoga term starts soon!
