Open Your Heart – Summer Yoga Practice

3 ways to gently open your heart ❤️

When our heart space is closed we may feel isolated, alone, sad, jealous and insecure. The more we feel these emotions the more we cut ourselves off from others and joyful living. When we open our hearts we feel empathy, happiness, connection and compassion for all.

I invite you to take 3 minutes right now to open up to the harmonising energy of summer (heart time).

1. Breathe into the centre of your chest area, feel the rise and fall of your breast bone. Repeat a few times and tune into the heart – keep breathing into any emotion that may arise.

2. Practise gratitude for all you have in your life instead of focusing on everything you don’t like. Any difficulty we have is an opportunity to grow – keep being grateful for being alive to experience all your fabulous life has to offer.

3. Chest thumping is a wonderful way to bring blood flow and qi to the chest and upper body area. By practising Do-In (self massage) we help to clear away physical and emotional stagnation.
